9th & 10th April.

Woke up to a sunny day. The water cleared up so we went for a swim and checked out the fish life.

Decided to head west again.

Headed straight to Albany and the Historic Whale Museum but they had electrical problems and were closed.

Popped up the Road to Bald Hill for our lunch.
Did some more sightseeing in Torndirrup National Park.
The Natural Bridge was first up. Erosion causing and it keep eroding.
There was an amazing viewing platform there.Once again coastline was spectacular. The next stop was the National Anzac Centre. The barracks  has been rebuild to exact plans the English built it to in the early 1900s.The Museum was interesting with amazing views over King George Sound. Lots of interactive things to do.
Here's one advertising poster that wouldnt work these days.Things to see like the Control Centre where they kept watch for the enemy out to sea.
Tonight sleeping a golf course and planning on playing a game tomorrow.  It a par 3 course on the front 9 holes. Sal is happy about that.

Drizzly rain so we went back to Whaling Museum. Absolute must to do. Unfriendly weather made it difficult but we saw the views the days before in clear skies.
75 foot long. This one was washed up on a beach. To get the skeleton to this stage  they bury it so the worms and other things can eat and clean all meat from bones. Sometimes  for a couple of years. Then take photos and assemble it here.
I found an old cottage which had a nice feel about it.
2 rooms the other one similar size housed up to 30 people.

Onto the ship you can go all over it. Hard days if you were à whaler. I took the ship out for a spin around the harbour.
This shot was in the bowels of the ship where they kept ropes the thickness of your arm and a cold store area for food. Also explosives not sure why they had them.

Off towards Cosy Corner Campground. However I had been past the Limeburners Distillery a few times and felt the time was right. So in we wandered.
A lovely lady had us seated and tasting whiskies and gin and combinations of them before we knew it.
Only 15ml per glas so no chance of going over limit. Sal And I shared tasting 🥂 I was a gentleman and let her taste first. Sal didn't understand the sipping part so I'm sure I got the raw end of the deal. 🥲🥲🥲
Surprising she enjoyed a whisky with a Port base. Smelt fantastic. We passed on the $189 bottle but settled for a 500ml one. Be nice to sip away on some nights. I will make sure I have my own glass this time😆😆😆😆.

We went to the Albany Windfarm for a peek. They are massive when you get up close. Not noisy but a gentle hum on and off . To me it was like the waves breaking on the shore in the distance.

Got away a bit later than I hoped to secure a spot at the campground. But we have been lucky and we were again. Parked in the 2nd last one available and As I write this the last spot has been taken. So many people travelling and WA school holidays and long weekends coming up it will get harder.

Nice beach with a good wave to catch right next to us.
Hope the weather gets better but the water is still warm here.

Anyway happy hour now. Sal is cooking.😀😀😀😀
