Day 42 & 43 9th & 10th March

Up early so we could swim with the Beachport sea urchins and sea slugs.
Sal swum to the end of the pier about 1.6km round trip. I swum a bit and talked to a local who told me about the shark attack 16 months ago. Right where I swam. But more likely  where Sal swam.
She did think about it at the end of the pier even though she didn't know of the attack.
Left Beachport and parked at Robe
Lots of great old buildings and a main street to wander up and down. But too busy so we headed towards Kingston.
Cape Jaffa was a waste of time as was Kingston. The RV park was packed.
Continued on to The Granites. A free camp in a carpark next to beach with some large granite boulders on beach.
We walked for a couple of hours up the beach and back dipping along the way.

Every beach seems to have 4wd access so you have got to keep an eye out.

Really warmed up as a heat wave is with us for a couple of days. Sitting chillin in the shade. Small breeze and ocean nearby for a quick dip.
Well we had a great lightning display which started a fire a couple of ks away. A local farmer turned up and told us to get out as the fire would be through there in 30 minutes. He drove off leaving me to tell everyone they better go. All were good and the place evacuated within 10 minutes.
Found a spot a safe distance away for the night.
