31st March

After a blowy night skaking bus around we headed off to the WA border.
Stopped at some stops for a view.

Got to quarantine and forgot about salad and a bit of cabbage. Got through there and went to the Old Telegraph Station at Eucla.
In 1950 it was used as a boarding house.  Sand dunes are quickly covering it over sadly. Beautiful hand sawn blocks.

Then endless driving. We left SA about 8am then as we drove west it got earlier and earlier. We are sharing the driving and listening to a good audio book story,  I think I am sick of going across the endless roads. On the 90 mile road now the longest straight road in Australia or so it seems. We've done 500km and still only 2pm.
The only places to stay are dustbowls at roadhouses or just off the road. My body tells me it time for happy hour but the clock says differently.  Going to be a long day. 😑
Found a spot off the road at Balladonia and had a very early night.

We asked at Ceduna about the golf across the Nullarbor.  But at $78 a person to play we gave it a miss. Saw a few holes along the way and glad we did. Bit gimmicky hiting off a green mat across a dirt carpark to a rough artificial green.
