30th March
Drove into Fowlers Bay late so we stayed at the caravan park. The road in was badly corrugated and shook us around a bit. Wind was still up and getting stronger.

Back to bus for lunch.
8Ok spot to visit old buildings was an old fishing village. If you had a 4wd you could go over the dunes and look up at the start of the Great Aust Bight. If it ever rained here the roads would be diabolical and under water. We left town on the other road hoping it would be better.
Started off well but soon turned shitty. The corrugations were too much . The vibrations could have shook the fillings out of my teeth. Didn't matter if you tried to speed over them or drive in and out of them it was just as bad. Never been so glad sealed road after about 20km of dirt.
Back on the highway which was straight for kms until we came to Head Of Bight.
Drove in paid our money then walked the track and got our first view of the Bight.

Back to bus for lunch.
Topped up for petrol on the way. Highway robbery at $2.79 a litre. It was just a top up. 25 litres for $79.🤑
About 115km from WA border we stopped at Bunda Cliffs. Wiki camps listed it as a place to stay overnight. No one else here staying and Sal is nervous. See what happens.
Cliffs were stunning. Water blue as and a wind that stops you in your tracks when it gusts.

Too windy to sit outside so we made a cheese platter and had a bottle of champagne to celebrate arriving at the Gŕeat Australian Bight.
