24th & 25th March
Breakkie at Tumby Bay. Walked the jetty and Sal found some green grass for her morning stretching. Grass hard to come by out here.

Had a swim in this little Cove. Still warmish.
Then pondered over Sal's expiring licence. Hassle to get things JP'd and sent off. But realised no need for all fuss and posted it off. One job done. Now Sal's ebike won't work after Elyse had a little accident. I googled electric bike shops in Port Lincoln and one popped up basically around corner from us. Went and saw him he sorted it and put a new display on and we were away to Port Lincoln. Found a great silo art at Tumby as well.
Got into Port Lincoln and put some new wider tyres on Sal's bike and went to a camp spot we heard about past the marina.Went for a nice ride and found a great pub nearby for dinner.
Back to van for a quick swim. Sal given caution not to swim far out as bull sharks are everywhere we go. Waded out and saw a largish pink jellyfish with long stringy tentacles. Looked like pain. I left the water and came back.
Sal stayed and spoke to a lone fisherman pulling in heaps of garnish. He said he was about to warn us when he saw us go into the water. Apparently the whole bay is full of Razorfish. They burrow into weedy sand and when you tread on them they cut your flesh to the bone. We were just lucky.
Went into Port Lincoln and walked another pier.

Stocked up at Coles and went visit Sal's relative.
Surprised to see emus grazing in main street but we saw more later.

Coffin Bay was spectacular. Water the nicest blue but keep imagining being cut to shreds by the razor fish.

Spoke to a local who told me where to get oysters. Bought 24 unopened ones for $30. Good sized too.
Then to Coffin Bay National Park for 2 nights. Checked out camp all good no other bugger freecamping in it. The place was basically booked out.
Another local advised the best place to swim so we headed off about 5k down road.
Back to our camp. Oysters shucked, lemon 🍋 ready and cracked black pepper on standby.
They were bigger than a Sydney oyster but smaller than a Pacific oyster and plump as and delicious.

Happy hour and a read,
let the oysters settle. Did have a perky reisling to go with them but forgot to chill it. Tomorrow should be cold by then.
