Day 15 and 16
Not much to report today. We booked into a golf comp at Scottsdale and had a good game we played with the President of the club and the ex President. Nice little 9 hole course. Sally had a gobbler(Put from off the green into the hole) She was awarded a packet of jellybeans for that feat.

Riding the 26km rail trail out of Scottsdale today. Wind up today and chilly with nice clear skies.
On the way down there numerous apple trees sprouting almost ready apples. We picked a few to stew for our morning muesli .
You don't need to take snacks on your ride as apples aplenty. And this time of year blackberries everywhere.
Got back to the free camp and chilled and we realised that we parked next to a blackberry bush bursting with fruit. Got Sal onto the job of picking and we stewed some up.

But first I found the tyre flat when I took it off the rack. Anyway 20 minutes later we were on our way. https://youtube.com/shorts/yzsOGe243iY?si=HY0AqNW5eBLeWRqg
The trail went up but an easy ride as it was a 40 to 1 grade for the train. It was a rail line for a clay and some other mineral mine up to 1999. The pic above is on of the cutaways they had to do through granite. All without machines. The amount of work is unbelievable.
Found an echidna on the trail but he tried to turn invisible.

It was cool but the lake we found on the way would be our swimming hole for the day.
