Day 13

Sadly we left the caravan park. Didn't rate a picture sorry.

But we did have the best  coffee in St Helens yesterday our first bought one. Usually we make it in the bus.

Went to St Helens Conservation Park and cooked up breakfast. Well worth a look out here if you are in the neighbourhood.

We had to wash bus as so much dust solar panels were struggling. Then off to a scenic drive just past Gosham called the BlueTiers Forest Reserve. Drove up a serious dirt track luckily nothing coming down.

Once up the top a walk to the rim of the mountain.
Lots of nice plants along the way.
Then back down the hill to another walk called the Goblin walk. The area is an old tin mining area up until 1980.
With old remnants of what we believe they called a sluice.

We are up really high and snow in winter. The ground is covered in this mossy type plant.
Back on the dirt road  and a short distance away another walk which too you down to where the tin was mined.
This was one of 2 water powered rock crushing devices used to extract the iron. Hard to imagine getting all that to the middle of nowhere and getting it up and running.

I was walked out so Sal went on the waterfall walk. She was gone a long time so I was just heading off to find her when she appeared. She had found a rock pool for a swim.
Drove onto the Pub in the Paddock and had a beer.  Onto Weldborough Pub found a spot on the grass outback dinner and a red.
