Day 12

The weather has changed. Wind is up but clear skies. The power died overnight batteries got to low and shut down.

Drove into St Helens and staying in a park to power up. Stocking up on water ,gas, get rid of rubbish we carried in national park. Do some shopping before we head back into wilderness.

Decided to head inland as the weather seems nicer there then come back to the Bay of Fires later.

The caravan park we booked is not nice. Lots of permanents who wouldn't look out of place in a looney asylum. Anyway we just needed power for the night.

Took Sal for a nice ride into St Helens. They have a great cycleway along the water.
Found a nice pub to have a cool one looking over St Helens.

99.9% of our ride was along the track. The rest was on the back roads to the caravan park. We didn't wear helmets. Of course a blue police car  came along side us and gave us a warning for not wearing helmets. Could of been a fine.

Looked forward to my first hot shower for ages and after paying my $1 the bloody water was only luke warm when it finally arrived. Disappointed 😞.

Sal had one high point about the van park she found a beach down the hill so we will drive off and have breakfast there.
