Day 7

Day 7.
We drove to Gravelly Beach had coffee overlooking the Tamar River.

Then followed the coast road to Beconsfield and had a look around the old Gold mine site now a museum and not operating. Pretty little town.

Beauty Point .

Was recommended it was a nice drive along the Tamar River and over a small but spectacular  bridge,Batman Bridge, but nothing to do but turn around once you got there unless you wanted to go to the seahorse exhibition.

Onto Bridport which is touristy town with cycleways on the beach. The caravan park had great spread out spots along the beach with little rocky coves in between.

It is ridiculously expensive and the town is not RV friendly with no free camping signs everywhere. Had a nice ride around town.

Topped up with water and dumped at the public site in the caravan park. Then off to Waterhouse Conservation Area. it was recommended by the ranger at our last camp. Scenery is brilliant along the way. We heard about the 2nd best golf course in aus. Called Barnbougle.we stopped in to have a look.

Actually 2 courses there . Got out to have a look and the place oozed money. Just opened in Dec 2024. We walked past 4 guys well tailored and one looking like Clive Palmer was telling the group his Mazerati was arriving tomorrow.  We felt a bit boganist in our thongs shirt and shorts. Any way I wasn't paying $189 for a game of golf. Besides I only had running shoes and they were not allowed.
We then drove about 12km along the worst corrugated track but ended up at a great free camp spot.

The  flys and march flies are a bit much but I was prepared from  past trips.

Brilliant they can't get in and a peaceful  dinner.
