Day 4 & 5

The new ferry terminal Geelong is good. Bonus that  you can sleep in the carpark overlooking the water.

The crossing was a bit rougher than I remember but the Quells kept the seasickness at bay.

Travelled 20 minutes after ferry to Railton. Great CMCA park for $7 a night. Must be self-contained.it has s camp kitchen no toilets .

Jumper weather but pleasant.

We did a bit of running around getting a new water cover which disappeared during the trip after our last fill-up. Don't ask Sal what happened to it😭😭😭

Ulverstone was a good spot for morning tea. The Shearers Hall of Fame was a must see. I can happily tick that one off my list of things never to do again.

Then we drove west with the usual plan, nothing. But came across a great Park. Narawntapu National Park. Staying at Bakers Beach. A bit confusing as the beach is about 500 m away. So after going on a wrong but scenic track we got the bikes off and rode there.

It was no mean feat getting the bikes through sandy hilly tracks for about 300 m but well worth it.

Rode the beach lucky tide was low. Found a whale carcus and bones. Didn't that stink.

Had to have a swim at the beach and the water was about 20 deg a big surprise and so clear we were the only ones there. Found another track to bikes through bush but just as hard.
After all that hard work. Cooked up some chilli prawns fish pieces chips and salad.
